On Saturday April 24, 2010, from 8 a.m to noon, residents from Little Chute and surrounding areas can bring computers and other electronics they want to recycle to the parking lot of the Save A Lot grocery story at 133 West Main Street, Little Chute.
Save A Lot will also be sponsoring a Brat Fry during the event and afterwards, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
According to the recycling company (RecycleThatStuff.com), they will take, at no charge, LCD flat screen computer monitors, computer mice, CPUs, laptops, keyboards, computer cords, circuit boards, UPSs, power strips, scanners, printer cables, printers, telephones, cell phones, fax machines, VCRs, DVD players and stereo equipment.
They charge fees for the following items: $10.00 fee for CRT computer monitors, small copiers, and microwaves; $15 for dehumidifiers and small air conditioners; $20 fee for large copiers and TV’s under 19″ $30 fee for TV’s 19″-30″ $50 fee for TV’s over 30″.
RecycleThatStuff.com will also pay for copper, brass, aluminum (sorry, no cans), stainless steel, insulated wire, Christmas tree lights, pots/pans, and other various metals.
