Senate District 8, August 9 election, Alberta Darling (Republican, Incumbent) versus Sandra Pasch (Democrat, Challenger).  The incumbent Senator Alberta Darling won this election. Senate District 32, August 9 election, Dan Kapanke (Republican, Incumbent) versus Jennifer Shilling (Democrat, Challenger).  The challenger Jennifer Shilling won this election. Only the Senate districts listed on the map at the left had recall elections in 2011.  The election for district 30 took place on July 19, 2011 returning the Democratic incumbent to the state Senate.  The elections for districts 2, 8, 10, 14, 18 and 32 took place on August 9, returning 4 Republican incumbents and sending two Democratic challengers to the Senate. The elections for districts 12 and 22 took place on August 16, returning the two Democratic incumbents to the state Senate.
